He is affectionately called 'The Little Master', or 'The Master Blaster' is a current Indian cricketer who was rated by Wisden in 2002 as the second greatest Test Cricket and ODI batsman of all time after the legendary Sir Don Bradman and Viv Richards respectively. Sir Donald Bradman as quoted in his biography "He was most taken in by Tendulkar's technique, compactness and his shot production and had asked his wife to have a look at the Indian as he felt that Tendulkar played like he had. Jessie agreed that they appeared similar. " Sachin holds important batting records such as the leading Test century scorer, leading ODI century and half-century scorer, one of only three batsmen to surpass 11,000 runs in test cricket as well as being the first Indian to do so,and the most career ODI runs and most overall career run tally.Sachin Tendulkar has the biggest fan following in any type of sport played throughout the world. His style and technique has earned him fans not only in India but also in countries like England, South Africa, Australia and other cricketing nations. For Indian cricket fans he is the biggest celebrated cricketer of all the times and has earned a place in the heart of every fan.
Tendulkar made his international debut in 1989 and is an all-time crowd-favorite. He is the only Indian cricketer to receive the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, India's highest sporting honour for his performance in 1997-1998. Sachin is recently selected for the biggest award in India "Padma Vibhushan" adding one more feather in his cap. Many of his fellow players, past and present, and cricket experts, regard him as one of the greatest batsmen the game has ever seen.
